Project required construction of approximately 1,650 linear feet of architecturally treated concrete and sheet pile
floodwall to provide flood protection to the City of Mount Vernon, construction of eleven (11)
stop log closures, construction of concrete pedestrian pathways, reconstruction of a portion of
Main Street, construction of parking lots, construction of a public plaza, construction of concrete
curbing and sidewalks, and installation of pedestrian hand railing. The improvements also
include conduit, wiring, fixtures and other electrical appurtenances for project illumination.
